Robert Tayac

Robert Tayac has been an attorney since 1994 and holds more than fifteen years of experience practicing law.  He has specialized in representing clients accused of driving under the influence for more than a decade. Born and raised in San Francisco, Mr. Tayac graduated from the University of California at Davis. After graduating, from Davis, Mr. Tayac entered the San Francisco Police Department where he served with distinction and was promoted to the rank of Inspector.  He received his law degree from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor for Law Review. 

As well, Mr. Tayac is a former staff attorney for Appellate Defenders where he represented people convicted of criminal offenses in California's Fourth District Court of Appeal. He has defended clients in driving under the influence cases in the San Francisco Bay Area including the counties of San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, Sacramento, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Sonoma. He is a present or former member of numerous professional associations whose focus includes driving under the influence defense, including the National College for DUI Defense, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (Life Member), California DUI Lawyers' Association, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice (Life Member), and California Public Defenders Association. 

Mr. Tayac coauthored the Fourth Edition of California Drunk Driving Defense and the annual supplements to the Third Edition and the Fourth Edition of that practice guide published by West Publishers.
